Cleaners Retain Their Efficacy
“Like new” cleaner eliminates defects caused by poor cleaning or soil redepositing on parts. Eliminating oil drag-out reduces organic contamination of down line coating/plating baths and lowers BOD levels in wastewater. As a result, manufacturers will see an improved adherence to EGS/ISO 14000 environmental standards.
Membrane Filtration
- Removes emulsified oil
- Prolongs cleaner bath shelf-life more than 10 times
- Works for full pH range (0 – 14)
- Works in temperatures up to 200°F
- The membrane is designed not to strip surfactants from the cleaner
- Allows cleaning components to pass through while trapping contaminants, reclaiming 98% of the cleaning bat
"Hubbard-Hall is on a mission to help customers get better results with less chemistry. The AquaEase Infinity® platform accelerates progress towards the goal while reducing cost for our customers."

AquaEase Infinity Frequently Asked Questions
Wondering about the capabilities of AquaEase Infinity? Look through our FAQs to learn more about this cleaner and membrane system.
Our sintered stainless-steel titanium dioxide membranes are most effective at removing liquid, hydrocarbon-based oils. The membranes will also remove water dispersible coolants in most cases. (Machining oils, drawing compounds, coolants, stamping oils, corrosion inhibitors, rust preventatives) .
Sometimes, our membranes can only remove oils that are emulsified in the cleaner bath. If your cleaner is an emulsified cleaner and oil is floating to the surface because the cleaner is saturated, the technology is ideal. However, if your cleaner is oil splitting it is not suitable, but we can help to identify our best aqueous cleaners and equipment to remove floating oils.
Stearate based lubes, buffing compounds, and wax based soils can foul the membranes, and negate effectiveness. They are not totally soluble and will clog the membrane pores
No, our membranes will not remove particles, sludge, scale, or dissolved metals from the cleaner bath. We have other technologies available to mitigate those contaminations.
In most cases, our tech service laboratory can provide testing that confirms the formulated cleaner components are not being removed during the filtration process. However, we can only guarantee it on Hubbard-Hall formulated cleaners. Stripping the surfactant can cause poor cleaning quality.
We recommend that customers use the Hubbard-Hall aqueous cleaners that are formulated to work optimally with the Infinity system.
No, paint solids in a chemical strip tank will immediately foul and clog the membranes.
Yes, sure you can, the stainless-steel membrane will be suitable for most of the acid cleaner, but normally an acidic cleaner trend to split oils instead of emulsifying, then the membrane filtration could not be the best solution to increase the cleaner lifetime.
Always follow the local regulations for disposal. The advantage here is that instead of the couple hundreds of alkaline cleaners with 10-15% of oil to be wasted, now you will have a concentrated oil with a minimum amount of water/cleaner. This solution could sometimes be sold to companies that recycle the oil.
Actually, the membrane will last years and years when used as expected, no short time replacement, you only need to back wash the membrane and then be ready to continue using. Different than plastic and ceramic membranes, as soon as reach the saturation point need to be replaced, it makes the process more robust and environmentally friendly.
The most expected will be to reduce the number of dumps of waste by oil saturation; consequentially will reduce chemical consumption, and fresh make-up will not be needed. When you reduce the tank maintenance, you also increase productivity because you don't need to stop the line to dump/clean the tank and do a fresh make-up, it will increase your production. We can highlight another advantage: when oil is floating on the tank surface and it is dragged for subsequent contamination, you will reduce or eliminate the oil drag out through the line.
The standard size of the membrane filtration equipment is a pallet size, but if you don’t have enough space, you can move the saturated cleaner by Totes to be filtered on the membrane filtration far away from the line and return the filtered cleaner to the working tank; please contact a Hubbard Hall expert to discuss in detail.
